Check-out is by 10:00 am. Please return your room key/key card to the reception to ensure it is not taken by mistake. Late check-out is only possible upon prior arrangement.

Baby cots

Baby cots are available on request for an additional charge.
In some rooms, the sofa bed can be prepared for children. Please don’t hesitate to ask us.

Payment

You are welcome to settle your bill the evening before departure – in cash, by debit card, Mastercard, or Visa.
For company invoices, a written cost coverage confirmation from the company is required.
To ensure quick processing, please provide us with your company address in advance.

E-Car charging

In front of the guesthouse, you’ll find two ChargePoint e-charging stations, which can be used via the app.
If both stations are occupied, please let us know – there are additional charging options nearby.

Reception - Opening hours

The reception is staffed daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Outside these hours, the main entrance is locked (you can always exit from the inside).
You can open the door at any time with your hotel key/key card.

Bicycle rental & storage

You can rent bicycles directly at the hotel:

City bike: €15.00 per day
E-bike: €45.00 per day / from 2 days €35.00 per day
Please book in advance at reception. Bicycle helmets are also available.

You are welcome to store your own bicycles free of charge in the bike racks in the underground garage. In the main building’s underground garage, you’ll also find a bicycle self-service station, which you may use free of charge.

Please note: charging e-bike batteries in the rooms is not permitted – charging is only allowed in the garage.

Photocopies are available at reception.

Leisure planning

We’re happy to assist you with planning and organizing your leisure activities.
On the first floor of the main building, you’ll find various flyers and information materials. At reception, you can also obtain hiking maps for tours starting directly from the hotel, regional maps of the Allgäu, city maps, and cycling maps.

Breakfast

Our delicious breakfast buffet is served daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Special times for groups are available upon request.

Please note that breakfast is intended to be enjoyed in the restaurant only; food cannot be taken away.
A packed lunch can be pre-ordered for €10.50.

Additional external guests are welcome to join the breakfast buffet for €19.80 per person (with prior reservation).
The price includes two hot beverages.

Parking & Garage

At the guesthouse, you can access the underground garage with your key card. At the main building, free outdoor parking is available. An underground parking space can be booked for an additional fee – please ask at reception to receive a key card.

To exit the garage, please pull the cord located inside to open the gate.

Bicycles and motorcycles can be stored free of charge.
Please note that charging e-bike batteries in the rooms is not permitted – charging is only allowed in the garage.

Luggage

We are happy to store your luggage safely at reception on the day of arrival or departure.
A luggage trolley is available in the entrance hall of the main building, and another can be found in the guesthouse basement under the staircase.

Vending machine

A drinks and snack vending machine is located on the first floor of the main building and operates with coins.
You are welcome to exchange money at the reception.

Heating & Temperature Control

The radiators in the main building can be adjusted manually. In the guesthouse, the bathroom radiators can also be controlled manually. The guesthouse rooms feature an automatic heating system – the temperature can be adjusted using the rotary switch located at the desk. For larger temperature changes, please contact reception.

Please note: As this is an energy-efficient building, the heating does not operate when the window is open.
For environmental reasons, there is no air conditioning.

Housekeeping

Your room is cleaned daily. For longer stays, bed linen is automatically changed as needed. Towels placed on the floor or in the shower will be replaced. A selection of different pillows is available upon request – just let us know. Wool blankets or allergy-friendly bedding can also be provided on request.

A dental kit, disposable razor, slippers, and comb are available at reception for a small additional charge.

Children's Play Area

In the entrance hall of the main building, you’ll find a small play area for children, and in the outdoor area there are rocking animals to enjoy.
Please do not leave children unattended and remember that parents or guardians are responsible for supervision.
Parents are liable for their children. Use at your own risk.

Just a five-minute walk away, at the Stadtweiher, there is a large playground. The Allgäu region also offers many great leisure activities for families with children – our reception team will be happy to advise you.

Confectionary

All cakes, tartes and desserts are supplied by Zuckerfheel – the hotel’s in-house confectioner, run by the family’s daughter, whose pastry shop is located nearby. Chocolate gifts to take home can be found at reception.

Minibar

A minibar with drinks and snacks is available in the Deluxe rooms of the guesthouse. If you require refrigeration facilities in the main building, please let us know – we’ll be happy to assist.

Sewing Kit

A sewing kit is available at reception.

Non-smoking

Please note that the Waldhorn is a non-smoking hotel, and smoking is not permitted in any rooms. (No one likes a smoky room!)
In case of violation, we reserve the right to charge an additional night or a special cleaning fee.

Umbrellas

Black and blue umbrellas are available for your use in the entrance areas of both the main building and the guesthouse.
As the umbrellas are property of the hotel, we kindly ask you to return them after use.
If you would like to purchase one, they are available for €25.00 each.

Sauna

Opening Hours:
Tuesday to Saturday: 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Sunday and Monday: closed

Please book in advance!

During the summer months, the sauna is open only in case of bad weather.

Prices:

€10.50 per person for hotel guests (bathrobe and towels provided free of charge)
€15.50 per person for external guests
You’ll find the Vital Sauna Area on the lower ground floor.

Key Card

Use your key card to open the main entrance door (hold the card against the panel to the right of the door).
At your room, simply hold the card to the door lock. Inside the room, insert one card into the card holder next to the door to activate the electricity. If you do not wish to be disturbed, press the button on the inside of the door lock. The power outlet located directly next to the telephone socket is always active (suitable for charging devices). The safe opens with the same card that was used to lock it — please note this when using two room cards.

Shoe Cleaning

A shoe polishing machine is located on the first floor of the main building and on the ground floor of the guesthouse.
If you need shoe cleaning supplies, they are available at reception.

Safety & Emergency information

Please take note of the escape plans located on each floor near the stairwell. Smoke detectors are installed in the corridors, and fire extinguishers can be found in the corridors and stairwells on every floor.

In case of alarm or fire, please remain calm and leave the building following the escape route signage.
For your safety, do not use the elevator. Proceed directly to the designated assembly point.

Please note: the outdoor area, the entrance, and the underground garages are under video surveillance.

Walking Paths

Around the hotel, you’ll find many beautiful walking routes — leading to the Stadtweiher, the Vorarlberger Gräber, and up to the Mariaberg.
